Player Health
& Safety
Wests AFC along with all AFLQ Football Clubs take player health and safety as a priority concern. All of our Junior and Youth AFL games have an accredited First Aid representative present.
AFLQ has also released updated concussion guidelines which can be viewed here. Of note is that the earliest that a player suffering a concussion can return to play is on the 21st day post the concussion incident provided they get medical clearance.
Mouthguards are a strict requirement for any player and we encourage the use of protective headgear for all players.
